Complementary Home Tour / Needs Analysis
 
As a new client of ours, upon arrival at your home we will begin the process by discussing how you live now and how you wish to live in your renovated space. In addition, at this time, inefficient work habits will be revealed, new ideas and solutions will be proposed, and we will take time to discuss how your space needs to function to serve your family needs. This is the foundation of our work; it must be comprehensive and create a decorative “flow” that makes sense.

During our meetings, your wish list, design direction and project requirements will be discussed, you will show us your file of magazine clippings you admire. We will bring literature as well. Together, we will develop your goals and expectations for your project.

Design & Planning
 
A retainer is required by our company based on the size of the entire project before we begin formally design and plan your space. The retainer ranges in cost depending upon the size and scope of the project. Kitchen design ranges from $2,000 - $3,500 depending on the size and complexity. Other spaces in the home are by retainer as well, and the retainer cost varies per project. (The retainer will be applied toward your total purchase price of kitchen, bath or other remodeled rooms).

Our retainer is in proportion of our high level of professionalism and the generous amount of time we allow for your design to evolve. Our philosophy is simple, we provide you with a space that is visually beautiful, highly functional, personally expressive, and cost effective. With our approach, you will experience fresh and original ideas, and lots of them…guaranteed.

Short-term hourly consultations are $150.00 per hour, or $275.00 for 2 hours at one meeting. Short-term consultations from 2 + + can be arranged. Travel beyond 10 miles is additional $35. Sometimes, especially for large projects, the client will prefer to pay us a negotiated flat fee for drawings, design, and planning the entire project.

Phase One - Initial Floor Plan
 
At this time, we will gather all the details of how your kitchen, bath or other rooms need to function, we will take measurements for the first of three or four separate times, review surrounding rooms, textures and colors of what already exists.

When designing a kitchen, bath, or a larger space traffic flow rules. Cabinetry placement is a distant second to the traffic flow. Designing appropriate “ traffic flow “ considers the openings in the room, a family’s lifestyle, the number of people in home, as well as cooking, entertaining, your dining area needs and other activity that take place in the kitchen.

With dimensions in hand, documented needs list and digital photos we will begin to design your space.

Phase Two – Design Details
 
Weather you are envisioning renovation of your kitchen, bathroom, or perhaps larger area we will prepare multiple designs for your space, approximately 4 -6 original creative design solutions, chosen by us for you.

We will offer guidance where necessary and discuss cons of one design to another: we will spread the designs out on the table, carefully consider ideas of each, perhaps combining ideas and choose the single solution, which is perfect for your lifestyle.

Phrase Three – Decorative Detailing
 
After the design is chosen, we will begin to consider decorative detailing: interior cabinet options, exterior molding details and ornamentation, including color and texture. We will review appliances, countertops, flooring, tile, plumbing fixtures, hardware and lighting and decorative plans for the surrounding rooms. Each layer of detailing enhances the previous layer and sets the tone for what is to come.

Our range of renowned suppliers and products provides you choices that meet a range of budget, from high quality to premium. We will review costs and establish a general budget plan, later will present you with detailed work specifications, ensuring that you know exactly what you will get, and that we got it right.

Phase Four – Formal Review and Budget
 
At this time we will present to you our highly detailed Design - Build Renovation Specifications, including: labor and cost of cabinetry, material and finishes selected for your project, we also will review all that is included into in the cost. We will also have a list prepared of items that we consider the “fat” in the plan…items whose cost may surprise you. We take the time to review your plans once again in the effort to make our clients aware of where they are placing their resources. We work hard via an extensive plan review and patient product research to provide cost options for you where appropriate.

You will know exactly what your project will cost with up-front pricing that eliminates surprises as the project unfolds.

Following this meeting, we sign Design –Build Agreement; you receive complete set of working drawings, highly detailed renovation specifications and listing of cabinetry, fixtures and finishes, and deposits on the orders will be placed, (the order is immediately submitted to the factory)…and we set the date to begin renovation of your project.
